Hey! I’m Carter. Thank you for stopping by. I’m a 3D Artist and Animator from Lincoln, Nebraska. I try not to take things too seriously. I build computers, play basketball, and geek out over video games. If I could be any character from The Office I wish it would be Jim, but in all likelihood, I would be Creed. One time I met Bill Nye during his workout while I was in New York. I waved, but he was busy with a pump.

With each project, I try to push my technical and design abilities by always testing out new methods and workflows. My process usually involves some light sketching mixed with some google searches for reference and research. I generally try to jump into either ZBrush or Blender as fast as possible to create some quick box models or booleans for concepts. After I have a general outline of an idea I start on the low-poly and the rest is in line with the industry-standard workflow.

I have experience creating real-time characters and props under tri-budgets, baking down high-poly to low-poly maps, rigging with rigify in Blender, animating first and third person characters, texturing in Substance Painter and ZBrush, and some light UE4 Blueprint coding.

I am also familiar with html, css, and some Javascript. I actually started college studying computer science where I learned some basic Java coding, but then I came to my senses. 😉
